Scappare is a Clipper Bow, Wineglass transom, Long shoal draft keel boat with a trailing rudder - Cutter rigged. She has sailed from Singapore from Hong Kong over the past 2 years and wants to go on a longer journey again. She is equipped to travel the world - but needs some maintenance and attention.
She comes with a life-raft for 6 an Epirb and a recently fixed 44hp Universal Diesel Engine, a dingy, a Davits, Solar Panels and a Windgenerator. Sails and Rigging are old but work, The inside needs a refit. A lot of equipment on board, like Radar, Windvane, Watermaker - but have never been tried and should be assumed to need a major repair.
She is great to sail and a lovely boat which can take you anywhere. I am am downgrading to a boatshare to have more time for my family... |

This 302' Expedition vessel has proven itself to be safe, comfortable and impressively stable during numerous polar and near polar cruises and expeditions where the most severe conditions have been encountered. Its ice strengthened hull allows it to drive through ice in these extreme regions and, along with its dual helicpter capability, gives it the capacity to be a wonderful Exploration Cruise Vessel, research/survey vessel or act as a deep ocean, polar base re-supply vessel.
The vessel has been extensively upgraded and modified in its 2005/7 refit and it is in excellent condition. It is ready to go, fully operational and in class. It is available at a very favorable price.
Accommodations
The ship is characterized by spacious cabins and large public spaces, including the bridge and outer decks, library and bar. A large lecture room provides the perfect space for passengers and crew to wind down and socialize following dinner in the well appointed dining rooms.
The Passenger capacity is over 100 with a crew capacity of over 40.
PASSENGER CABINS:
Suite – 1 Cabin This cabin has a large lounge with desk and settee making a comfortable place to relax. Additional items in the lounge include TV monitor, DVD player, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The separate bedroom contains a double and single bed. Private shower, washbasin and toilet are located within the cabin.
Mini Suite – 6 cabins Slightly smaller in size than the suite, the mini-suites still offer the separate lounge and bedroom cabins. The lounge has a desk and settee and is appointed with TV monitor, DVD player, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The bedroom has either a double bed or twin singles while the ensuite contains a shower, toilet and washbasin.
Twin Private – 20 cabins These cabins consist of two lower berths with a desk and wardrobe provided. Each cabin has an ensuite with toilet, shower and washbasin.
Twin Public – 10 Cabins Situated directly across from the shower and toilet facilities, these cabins offer passengers two lower bunks, a desk and wardrobe for storing clothes. A washbasin is located within the cabin.
Triple Public – 4 Cabins Providing two lower berths and one upper berth with toilet and shower facilities located directly outside the cabin. A washbasin is provided within the cabin, along with wardrobe and desk.
Quad – 4 cabins Utilizing the two lower and upper berths in these cabins provides an economical means of travelling. With a desk, wardrobe and basin within the cabin, shower and toilet facilities are just outside the cabin door.
RESTAURANTS:
The vessel is fitted with two passenger restaurants which between them are capable of sitting the entire passenger compliment in one sitting. With the galley located on the deck below, a dumbwaiter provides excellent service between the two decks. |
